William Barnes

Born in Savannah, GA., Bill lived his first nine years there and his love of the coast was well established. When his family moved to Macon, Ga. Bill received his first "formal" art lessons in after-school sessions taught by the county art teacher. After another family move to Atlanta, Ga. Bill studied drawing and painting at the original High Museum. As a five year boarding student at the Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN., his artistic talents were frequently called on. Bill moved to Monroe, GA in 1987 and paints there full-time.
