Tom Dell

Tom Dell began taking pictures during the Korean War. He started with a Brownie Hawkeye, which he still has and still shoots with, and went through the professional and consumer cameras until he ended up with the Canon Digital format.

Tom looks at the texture and light of life and finds those scenes that appeal to his eye and hopefully to yours. His background as a “rock and roll star” of the 60’s is obvious in his images of guitars he has played and his presentation of them.

“There is a sensual relationship with a good guitar that a musician feeds off of. You can see it in any performance as the player makes love to his instrument and the audience.”

Tom works exclusively with available light and then processes his images with Photoshop to bring out the characteristics that appeal to him. During the daylight hours, Tom is Director of Marketing of a fiber optics company and does all the company’s photographic and creative work.
