I fell in love with Italy on my first visit in 1958—it was love at first sight. Since then I’ve returned many times and even studied the language to facilitate and enhance my visits. I love the people, the food, the wine and the history, but most of all, the beautiful opportunities provided the dedicated photographer. It’s difficult to say what parts of Italy are the most beautiful, but I’m certainly drawn repeatedly to the Tuscan countryside and to Venice. It’s tremendously exciting to be in Venice during Carnival—the festival preceding Lent.

Since moving to Atlanta in 1981 from Savannah, I’ve been active in photographic circles including membership in the Atlanta Photographic Society, the Southeastern Photographic Society and the Roswell Photographic Society and I’ve served as President of all three organizations. I have participated in many gallery shows and exhibitions over the last 15 years in the Atlanta metro.
