Thirty years of design, fine art and photography have come together to create a visual conversation. After graduating from UGA with a BFA, Mary Warren began her career as a graphic designer, fine art painter and photographer.
Mary transitioned from film to digital photography 3 years ago and in 2008 graduated from a five month intensive digital photography course at The Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, MT. She has returned home to Atlanta to bring a fresh vision to her Fine Art Photography and mixed medium. The images she shares are her visual conversation about beauty and connection.
"Being both a participant and a witness, the photographic process illustrates that where attention is placed, creation occurs. It allows exploration and communion. In capturing the images, the vibrations of the seen as well as the unseen are recorded. My desire is to create connection through a visual conversation. Seeing my world through the camera lens and then translating the images with a painter’s vision serves as a conduit to communicate universal symbolism."
