Acknowledging a love of myth, art, music, science, the artist paints a wide variety of subjects from large-scale still life to astronomical phenomena to portraits. Her imagery ranges from photo real to a more impressionistic and playful use of reality. As the viewer takes in the artist’s vision of a moment in time, he may draw on his personal experience to find meaning in the choice of subjects; the intense, sometimes vibrant colors; the intimate interaction between nature and object. Studying during the height of abstraction, the artist made a conscious choice to pursue realism with a touch of the spiritual, a nod to nature’s wonder.
