I have always had a passion for art! I started drawing at the age of seven. One of my earliest memories of art admiration was when my dad and three brothers drew several pictures and created a collage out of them. My love for drawing continued to grow as I was introduced to comic books. I admired the artwork of comic books. I wanted to emulate the artists’ techniques and skills. I would draw for hours trying to hone my drawing abilities to match that of various comic book artists’ skill and meticulous attention to details. As I grew in my love for art, I ventured into working with charcoals, pastels, oils, and color pencils. In 1987, I enrolled in a correspondent Art Instruction School, however; I joined the Navy before competing my certificate in Fine Arts.
While it is hard to find time for painting, my passion never fades. I have a wife, four children and five grandbabies. I retired from the Navy in 2010 after serving 22 ½ years. I am a graduate of Columbia Southern University with a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Finding time for drawing and paint is challenging while working full time on Robins Air Force Base, family time, church, and personal time.
I see my abilities to create art as a “Gift from God”! My motto is: “When you find something in life that connects you with the One True Living God in a way you can’t explain it is worth pursuing”. When you fine your passion, pursuit it with enthusiasm and vigor!
I currently have art for sale at the Tubman Museum in Macon, and at Curtis Office Suites and Event Center in Warner Robins, GA. I am a member of the Fine Art Society of Middle Georgia. I won fine art awards at the Georgia National Fair Fine Arts Competitions in 2018, 2019, and 2022. I call my art “Art Expressions” because of the emotions that are displayed through my art and the use of rich vivid colors. I am always happy to receive commission requests.
